Dr. Max Maaß

Dr Max Maaß is a Senior Security Specialist at iteratec. In this role, he works across projects as an IT security expert and supports development teams in designing, implementing and operating secure software systems.

His specialist focus is on IT security, taking a holistic view of the technical, organisational and human aspects of security. Among other things, he deals with topics such as penetration testing, security and architecture reviews and the practical securing of modern software systems.

Dr Max Maaß completed his PhD in the field of IT security and worked for several years as a research assistant at Darmstadt Technical University. His research focused in particular on issues relating to security, privacy and how people deal with security incidents.

Alongside his work at iteratec, Dr Max Maaß regularly shares his knowledge through technical articles, presentations and workshops. He runs his own security blog and speaks at specialist events such as Heise DevSec, as well as delivering lectures and presentations at TU Darmstadt.
