IT modernisation. As a doctor of computer science, he combines his academic background with extensive practical experience gained from complex digitalisation projects in transport and logistics as well as the automotive sector. His main areas of expertise are
project and requirements management.

His personal highlight in this regard was the launch of Deutsche Bahn’s new sales platform, Vendo (also known as MOVAS), for which he spent four years ensuring operational readiness through a beta phase and was responsible for planning and managing the migration of 16 million private customers to the new bahn.de website and the new DB Navigator. He is currently leading the development of Deutsche Bahn’s future reservation system as technical project manager, from the requirements phase through to the incremental replacement of the existing system.
